A Note of Thanks

Dear first Baptist Church Family,

We are so very appreciative and grateful for the support, love, and prayers for our family during this sorrowful time.

Ray/Dad loved his church family so much and so missed the fellowship with all of you that he once cherished before health issues prevented his participation. Most of all, he loved his Savior. He knew he was going to be able to see Him face to face, and that was such a comfort to him and all of us.

We cannot express how much  the outpouring of caring love has blessed us all. We appreciate everything that church members have done to honor our husband/father and to bless us in such special ways.

It has been such a joy to serve alongside you all and our ministry team with my husband, Alan, these past three years at First Baptist Church Monroe. Whenever the opportunity arises, I am forever singing your praises as a “small, but mighty” congregation who loves the Lord and one another. Dear FBC Monroe Church Family,

Thank you seems like such a small expression for the tremendous love and kindness you have shown to me. The cards filled with encouraging notes, the generous gifts, and the gift cards were all deeply appreciated. More than anything, however, I was touched by the thoughtfulness and love behind each expression.

To serve as your pastor is both a privilege and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Your encouragement reminds me that ministry is never something we do alone. We walk this journey together as a church family, supporting one another, praying for one another, and seeking together to honor God and share the love of Jesus Christ.

Your generosity was certainly a blessing, but the words you wrote were an even greater gift. There were moments when I smiled, moments when I was humbled, and moments when I simply thanked God for allowing me to be part of such a loving church family. Your kindness encouraged my heart and renewed my joy for the ministry God has entrusted to us.

I am grateful not only for what you gave, but for who you are—a church family that continues to strive to love God, love within, and love beyond. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside you as we continue our thriving journey and seek to be an authentic community for God’s honor and glory.
